Niagra Falls Day 1

This whole post is from the Canadian side of the falls. It was so much fun but we ended up walking a ways further than we needed to.

This is Bridal.



It was acutally really cool because of the rocks at the base.



This one is Horseshoe from a distance.



















I think is my favorite from day one.





It had started getting dark so these pictures didn't turn out very well.























This is a closer shot of Horseshoe.

It was simply amazing to be standing right next to it.

The amount of water was just staggering.

Ok this was funny so my mom and I were in the hotel parking lot and my back was to the falls(you couldn't see them) and she points but didn't say anything then BOOM the fireworks went off behind me. It was so loud I jumped and we both started laughing.







They had some really big one too.



These didn't turn out very well but whatever.

Epic Fail

Defined as an utter, total failure. I think it fits this well. I tried to make a bee cake and some cupcakes and lets just say I suck in the kitchen.

My workspace whilst I was making frosting.

Trying to dye the frosting black and having it turn to the color of poo <_< >_> I had to make a double batch to fix the color.

The black dye worked on my skin though. Turned it a bruise purple.

Adding oil to milk I thought it looked cool.

The cupcakes were easy enough to make.

But I burned the crap out of my finger when I took them out of the oven.

The cake didn't want to cook...so I imagine it tastes like crap with a rubbery texture.

Plus it didn't want to come out of the pan.

I think I want to try a ladybug next.

Ah the finished product. It doesn't look perfect but it's pretty good for me.

With the fondant wings ^_^

Only Me

So yeah here's what happened...I was getting a spoon out of the silverware drawer and I started to close it before my hand was out(genius I know). Then my finger got caught on a fork...I kept shutting the drawer(not thinking) felt the pain and yanked open the drawer only to see that I was bleeding a lot. So I ran over to the sink and rinsed it off and it bled for a while. Once it stopped I looked at the damage and yeah....two little punctures XD

Strawberry Cake

Ok so this was a checkerboard cake I made for one of my moms co-workers birthday.

It was strawberry and vanilla cake with lots of strawberry icing.

I wish I had gotten pictures during the process but I wasn't thinking.
